Here are the other pair of pyjamas I made for DD. I LOVE this pair, the fabric, and the thermal underwear look of them. I made these using an Ottobre pattern for long sleeve top slightly altering the arm cuffs, and an Ottobre pattern for the leggings. I struggled with sewing this stretch fabric on my machine, so I did all but the hems and elastic on my overlocker. The other thing that stumped me was the neck band. I ended up overlocking it to the underside and handstitching it to the front (like quilt binding) as I knew I wouldnt stuff it up this way.
Also on my sewing machine ready for stitching is some more clothes for DD. I have done all the overlocking possible :-) and just need to hem them on the bottom and arms, and add elastic. I am making:
1 x leggings in dark pink
2 x long sleeve hooded top, long in length in stripy fabrics
1 x long sleeve top in dark pink
This will help use up some of my fabric stash and add to DD's much needed winter wardrobe.
And again, any tips on sewing with stretch fabrics would be greatly appreciated.
